Chad Scharf

Chad is an adopted son of God (thanks Terry!). He is a husband to his wife, Mary, of over 20 years. Between them they have 3 daughters, Heather, Andrea, and Kendra and 8 grandchildren. By the grace and mercy of our Lord, Chad is a convert to the Catholic faith, baptized in 2011 in the Diocese of St. Augustine, FL, who’s namesake is also his patron saint. They currently live in Jacksonville, FL and are extremely thankful to have all of their children and grandchildren living in the same area.

Chad was introduced to Fraternus back in 2020 by his oldest son-in-law after much reluctance, resistance, and not wanting yet “another thing” to do. Needless to say he feels like an idiot for not diving right in. Chad instantly fell in love with the concept, the brotherhood, and the men at that first Frat Night and hasn’t looked back since. Having grown up as an only child with parents in the military, he never learned how to make friends, dig deep, plant roots and experience true brotherhood or community; not to mention having only raised girls, it has been a breath of fresh air to help offer what he can in mentorship of these young men.

Professionally, Chad enjoys his position with RF-SMART, a supply chain management software company based in Jacksonville, FL, as an AVP of product and software engineering (that’s fancy for “computer stuff”).
