Director of Development

George Brunner

George grew up in Baltimore, MD where most of his family still lives. He loves Maryland style crab cakes and won’t eat them any other way. He attended a Fransiscan high school, and graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University in 2009. As a Development Officer — and formerly a Director and Assistant Director of Development, as well as a Youth and Campus Minister — George has spent years connecting people to the causes they care about most.

For him, fundraising is about more than just meeting goals; it’s about building trust, telling great stories, and helping others see the difference they can make. Outside of work, George keeps life adventurous. He’s a rock climber, lacrosse official, disc golfer, and occasional philosopher over whiskey and cigars. Married to his wife Brittany for 14 years, he’s also a proud dad of four, three girls and one boy.

George loves all things Catholic and is grateful to the men in his life who challenged him to grow in his faith. George resonates most with the lives of Saints Augustine and Ignatius of Loyola, and his favorite scripture verse is Matthew 16:13-20. George currently resides with his family in Durham, NC.
